Mariano Rodriguez was born in Mexico City, Mexico and immigrated to the United States to live with his Aunt and Uncle at the age of 9. He graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana with his degree in Architecture and moved to Tucson in 1987 where he realized his dream of becoming an American Citizen.
Mariano has experienced the challenges as well as the rewards faced by many who have immigrated to the United States and is able to relate to the unique and diverse needs of our community. He can bring a much needed perspective to our City Council; one that represents the traditional values that are so dear to many of us regardless of our background. Mariano stands for: Family, hard work, pride, compassion and accountability.
Mariano’s employment history has allowed him to develop his skills as a listener as well as strengthen his skills as a team leader. Currently as an Architect /Business owner, Mariano continues to work throughout our community to transform ideas and thoughts into homes, developments and businesses.
These skill sets and discipline are the tools that Mariano Rodriguez will utilize to empower our community, small businesses, and our City. By engaging our council to look beyond what has been established and bringing new ideas and new visions, Mariano’s leadership will reassure the community, and our workforce that the City Council can work together to better our city, and build a brighter Tucson.
